Wakarusa Music Festival: Hoop Performer/Instructor
I grew up in Missouri, the midwest of the US.  One of my favorite festivals to share my love for hoopdance was always at Wakarusa.  Hired through my good friend and mentor, Luna Breeze Blakeman, for Brett Mosiman, I have been teaching and performing at this festival every year from 2009-2012.  In my move to the west coast, I missed the magic in 2013, and am very excited to be invited back. This time I will be working with my also very good friend and mentor, Michelle Schaeffer (aka Mishi) of the STL Hoop Club and our performance troupe, Cosmic Collaborative out of St. Louis, MO.  Really looking forward to sharing with my stomping grounds once again.
*Are you hosting a an event and want an amazing group of talented people to perform fire, stilt-walking, hoopdance, acrobatics, aerial AND/or host mind-blowing workshops for your patrons?  Email SurkaNoelle@gmail.com.

Garnish: Burning Man Conclave Video Shoot
I am honored and excited to once again be a part of this amazing group of fire enthusiasts.  As section lead with Melody Kay for Hoops, we choreographed a 2.5 minute dance including double and triple fire hoops, fresh movements and formations, and a powerful message of magic!  Our video is to be reviewed by the board, and if accepted, we will perform in front of the man as it burns for our seventh year in a row!  I am bursting with inspiration to share this work with my beloved Burning Man community.  I also plan to perform routine acrobatics and fire fans.  Fire on!  See you on the playa~
*Are you delighted at the thought of hiring myself and/or my troupe of fire artist extraordinaires? Please email SurkaNoelle@gmail.com to discuss a perfect event for you!

The Lotus Seed: 500 Yoga Graduation
In January of 2013, I began a journey to deepen my daily practice and explore a higher offering through teaching yoga.  I also wanted to learn more about the body to become a more well-rounded hoopdance teacher.  I graduated with my 200 hour certification from the Lotus Seed in March of 2013.  One year later, I am finishing my 500 hour certification.  I am so grateful for this next step.  I have traveled to Hawaii and Mexico with The Lotus Seed under Wren Doggett’s mentorship as her assistant.  I hope to travel the world and continue sharing the joys of her teachings and our lineage of teachers before.  Aho!
*If you would like to schedule a private session or group class, please email SurkaNoelle@gmail.com.  Namaste~
